All About Yacht hire in the Florida Keys

The world is your oyster with a yacht rental in the Florida Keys. Cruise the paradisiac islands of the Florida Keys, venture to the beautiful Dry Tortuga National Park 7 island archipelago, or plan a yacht charter to Cuba and back. Sail with a crew who make you feel at home on a beautiful yacht and can show you the best parts of this exotic area. Yacht charters are a great holiday for families, friends or couples holidays, particularly honeymoons or anniversary celebrations.

Separated from the mainland by indigo waters, the Florida Keys does things differently, and what a way to do things. With vibrant and luxurious marinas, pastel-tinged coastal towns and a wealth of spectacular natural scenery, the better way to truly travel around here is by yacht. As an archipelago consisting of coral cays and reefs, the area is primed for some of the world's best scuba diving and fishing. When you rent a yacht for a week with a skipper, you'll hop between islands, indulging in some of the finest Floribbean food whilst watching the sunset from the comfort of a stylish yacht deck.

What to do with your Yacht Rental in the Florida Keys

A yacht rental in the Florida Keys is the perfect way to spend your holiday. There are many areas to explore with 126 miles of exotic islands to sail around and moore your yacht. Relax on board your yacht or become one with nature and observe the sea life and coral reef below. The Florida Keys is not only a beauty on the water but the islands also have a lot to offer!

Other than relaxing onboard your Yacht Rental in the Florida Keys, there are many other ways to enjoy this beautiful destination for all ages! Perhaps try fishing, snorkelling or scuba diving … just to name a few!

The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Mallory Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and they are all definitely worth a visit!

Another attraction in Key West is the Southernmost Point Buoy. This buoy is a concrete buoy at the tip of Key West established in 1983, marking the end of the US and the stretch of sea to Cuba. We also thoroughly recommend you stop to visit Dry Tortugas National Park. From Key West, it’s a 58 nautical mile sail, and a halfway stop for a night at Marquesas Keys is ideal along the way. The National Park is located in the Gulf of Mexico and has 7 beautiful islands with exotic coral reef surrounding. Surround yourself with the wildlife on these remote islands or go diving and explore the underwater world.

Florida Key Destinations

A well-priced week-long trip is enough time to circumnavigate the Florida Keys. Here, be sure to either enjoy a round of golf at Key Largo or take a stroll on long stretches of fine sandy beaches surrounded by tropical hardwood trees. Islamorada is another must-visit, consisting of six islands which are primed for diving and fishing. Indian Key and Duck Key are famed for their dolphins, and are generally less busy and more peaceful — perfect for an onboard toast. For luxurious solitude, head out to the Key West Nationals Wildlife Refuge and its quiet islets.

Attractions in the Florida Keys

There are plenty of paradisiac locations along the Florida Keys where you can lounge on your yacht rental and sip a cocktail in the sun. We recommend locations such as Bahia Honda, where you can unwind in tranquility.
You can also charter to Cuba, locations in the Mexican Gulf or the Bahamas.

New arrivals and departures in the Florida Keys set off from either Key West, the pulsating heart of the Keys in the west, or Key Largo to the east. Either provide the perfect starting point for a week-long charter, allowing you to explore the archipelago. It's not unheard of for visitors to use Key West as a base, heading out for daily excursions before arriving into the vibrant marina for nightly entertainment. Sailing along each of the Keys — Newfound Harbour, Duck Key and Islamorada — provides the most versatile experience, visiting lagoons, mangroves, the Everglades and coral reefs.

How to Get to the Florida Keys

Key West International Airport (EYW) is the best airport for arriving on the southernmost point of the Florida Keys, particularly is you are renting a yacht from Key West Harbour.

Miami International Airport (MIA) is also a good option for those wishing to explore various parts of Florida. You can reach the Florida Keys by car from Miami, or renting directly there your luxurious yacht. It takes between an hour and two hours, depending how far south you wish to go.
